In 2000, having qualified as a teacher, Julie was asked to open a class in Woodley with Stephanie's help. In April 2001 Julie and Stephanie were given the opportunity to take over the class and Steps 'n' Stetsons was born. Nine months later, we opened another class in Sonning.
In 2002, we both did the BWDA teacher training - we both keep up to date with dance and safety workshops whenever we can.
In June 2006 we moved the Woodley class to Sonning and extended the hours of the joint class.
In April 2007 Steps 'n' Stetsons were proud to have been asked to take over the running of Just for Kicks in Lower Earley under their own name. This added a Tuesday morning class and a Wednesday evening class.
In 2008 Sarah trained and joined our team as a teacher.
At the end of 2013 we sadly had to close the Sonning class after 12 years.
Together with club members, we attend numerous workshops and go on line dance weekends two or three times a year.
Each year we run four themed evening socials and four Sunday afternoon tea dances for our club members.
Each year our members choose a charity and throughout the year our dancers generously support our various madcap fundraising ideas!
